LOCAL TRAVEL GUIDE · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026
Logan Airport pickup guide for North Shore travelers
What to send your chauffeur, how to choose a pickup time, and what to expect when you arrive at Boston Logan Airport.
Plan my airport ride
For departures
Work backward from the time you should be inside your terminal—not only from the scheduled takeoff.
For arrivals
Share the flight number, keep your phone reachable and use the meeting point confirmed for your terminal.
For every ride
Give an accurate passenger, luggage and child-seat count so the correct vehicle arrives.
DEPARTING FROM THE NORTH SHORE
Choose a pickup time by working backward
For a Logan departure, the goal is not simply to reach East Boston before takeoff. You need time to unload, enter the correct terminal, check bags when necessary and clear security without beginning the trip under pressure.
Massport currently recommends arriving two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight. Add the expected drive from your exact North Shore address, then include an appropriate margin for the day and time. Weekday traffic, construction, weather, holidays and major events can all change the trip.
THE DETAILS THAT PREVENT CONFUSION
What to include with your reservation
| Information | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact pickup address | Community names are not precise enough for door-to-terminal timing. |
| Airline and flight number | Helps identify the live arrival, departure and terminal even when schedules change. |
| Passenger count | Ensures the vehicle has a proper seat for everyone in the party. |
| Luggage count and oversized items | Prevents a sedan or SUV from arriving without enough cargo space. |
| Child-seat request | Allows the correct complimentary infant, toddler or booster seat to be prepared. |
| Reachable mobile number | Lets the chauffeur coordinate a terminal pickup when you are ready to meet. |
ARRIVING AT LOGAN
Use the confirmed meeting point
Boston Logan has four passenger terminals—A, B, C and E—and assignments can change. Most international arrivals use Terminal E, but some flights complete U.S. formalities before departure and may arrive elsewhere. Your flight number is more reliable than an assumed terminal.
Massport notes that limousine service is available by prior reservation. After landing, turn on your phone, collect checked luggage and follow the chauffeur's message for the current meeting location. Airport traffic rules can change, so use the location confirmed for that ride rather than an old online post or a previous trip.
FAMILIES AND GROUPS
Match the vehicle to people and bags
Passenger capacity and luggage capacity are different. A vehicle may have enough seats but not enough room for checked suitcases, strollers, golf bags or other large items. Count both before choosing the vehicle, and mention unusually large items in the notes.
For children, request the appropriate seat in advance. Lynnfield Airport Ride offers complimentary infant, toddler and booster seats with notice, so the vehicle can arrive prepared instead of improvising at pickup. See our family airport service page for seat requests, stroller space and return-trip planning.
DELAYS, EARLY ARRIVALS AND CANCELLATIONS
Keep the flight number—and your phone—current
A valid flight number lets the chauffeur monitor an arriving flight and adjust for a delay or early landing when reasonably possible. If the airline changes the flight number, departure airport or travel date, send the new information directly rather than assuming the update is visible.
If the airline cancels the flight, contact us promptly. The reservation deposit can be moved one time to a replacement pickup without a rebooking fee, subject to availability and any fare difference. See the full 24-hour cancellation policy.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Planning a Logan airport ride
How early should I leave the North Shore for Logan Airport?+
Start with Massport's airport-arrival recommendation—two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight—then add the expected drive from your pickup address and a sensible traffic margin. Your exact pickup time should reflect the day, time, terminal, luggage and travel conditions.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at Logan Airport?+
Your meeting point is confirmed for your flight and terminal under the airport's current ground-transportation rules. Keep your phone available after landing and follow the chauffeur's message rather than assuming a terminal or door in advance.
Do you monitor arriving flights?+
Yes. Provide the airline and flight number when booking so the arrival can be monitored and the pickup adjusted for an early arrival or delay when reasonably possible.
Can I request child or booster seats?+
Yes. Infant, toddler and booster seats are complimentary with advance notice. Include the number and type of seats in your reservation request so the vehicle can be prepared correctly.
What happens if the airline cancels my flight?+
Contact Lynnfield Airport Ride as soon as reasonably possible. Under the cancellation policy, your deposit can be moved one time to a replacement pickup without a rebooking fee, subject to availability and any fare difference.
